with Hells Canyon Raft
The Snake River runs through Hells Canyon and is the whitewater rafting adventure of a lifetime. Join us for a unique river trip through the deepest canyon in North America. Hells Canyon Raft specializes in the Hells Canyon. We are the leaders in adventure river trips and the Snake River is our home!
The country is amazing! Rugged rock walls and grassy slopes rise from the surging whitewater as it pulses through Hells Canyon. Where boulders and rock slides have rolled into the river you will find the biggest rapids in the Pacific Northwest.
The Nez Perce Indians used to live in Hells Canyon. We will delve into this rich culture and visit their old stomping grounds as well as see their stories through pictographs left on the canyon walls.
The Snake River is considered a Class III-IV River, and most of the rapids are found in the first 32 miles between Hells Canyon Launch site, and Pittsburgh landing. A 3 or 4-day river trip covers this exciting whitewater stretch while a 5 or 6-day trip covers the entire 79 miles.
This is a full service river trip; each day our gear boat travels ahead to set up camp, and secure the best beaches. When we arrive in camp, around 4:00 your tents are pitched, bags are up the bank, and the camp is all ready for you to settle in for the evening. The guides set up and take down your tents, fill your wine glass, serve appetizers, make incredible meals, and do all the camp chores.
Hells Canyon Raft offers a great selection of launch dates throughout the summer. Trips start in May and run through September, with June July and August being the best time to go.
The trip is perfect families, friends, groups or organizations. We pride ourselves on offering a great mix of river craft that allows you to choose your level of participation.
